Our Journey

1979 – Foundation Established
R.O.O.T.S. Cultural Foundation is founded in Ontario to serve disadvantaged and multicultural communities.
1985 – First Youth Support Program
Launched mentorship and tutoring programs to encourage youth in academics and cultural identity.
1992 – Community Arts & Music Festival
Began annual cultural festivals celebrating heritage, music, and traditions from around the world.
2001 – Scholarship Fund Created
Established scholarships for underprivileged students pursuing higher education.
2010 – Expansion of Outreach
Extended programs to include economic literacy workshops, entrepreneurship support, and newcomer integration initiatives.
2019 – 40th Anniversary Celebration
Honored four decades of service with alumni, partners, and community leaders.
Today – Building the Future
Continuing to inspire, educate, and support the next generation through culture, creativity, and community action.

Who we are

R.O.O.T.S. (Rebirth of Old Times Sayings) Cultural Foundation is a volunteer-driven non-profit founded in 1979 to assist the less fortunate and disadvantaged in our society. We honor “Dedicated Afrikan Descendants” and encourage youth toward education and positive lifestyles.
